Ligu Cliff

Ligu Cliff

Ligu Cliff, also known as Huanggu Cliff, takes its name from Princess Ligu—the sister of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty—who renounced the royal life and became a Buddhist nun on this very cliffside. Within Huanggu Hall, nine serene sculptures remain, silent witnesses to the Tang Dynasty’s spiritual and artistic legacy.
