Buddhism was introduced to China from ancient India, and after merging with indigenous beliefs, it gradually gave rise to a new school of thought: Zen Buddhism. This photo series was captured at Dongshan Temple, the place where Master Hongren, the Fifth Patriarch of Zen, practiced.
